Indoor Fresh Compost (IVC®)

The basic raw materials for Indoor Fresh Compost Indoor Verse Compost (IVC®) are:

• Horse manure which is rich in straw
• Wheat straw
• Chicken manure Gypsum

The method of preparation is dependent on availability of ingredients and strict specifications. After an intensive mixing of the basic raw materials with water, re-circulation water and ammonium sulphate, the mixture gets a heat treatment in one of the 58 composting tunnels.
All activities take place in a closed building.
Waste air from the processes is cleaned by means of ammonia washers and biobeds.
Composting takes 3 to 6 days; the compost is heated to a temperature of 75 to 80° Centigrade. The entire process is closely monitored by process computers.
