A mushroom grower uses hardly any or very few crop protection products due to shortening of the production process and the use of high-quality raw materials. This makes the Dutch mushroom a “green” product. The grower uses all kinds of modern techniques to optimise the cultivation result. During filling the full-grown compost is covered immediately which saves the grower extra work and allows him to use fewer crop protection chemicals. Process and climate computers control the cultivation of mushrooms. Cultivation-technical matters and harvest data are registered carefully using culture lists and personal computers.
