Production process

For years, CNC has been preparing compost, the nutrient medium for mushrooms. A mushroom grows on dead, organic material, such as compost. Straw, horse manure, chicken manure and gypsum are required for the preparation of compost,. The straw in the horse manure provides the nutrient. The horse droppings and the chicken slurry add extra nitrogen. The gypsum helps regulating the PH value of the compost. The raw materials are mixed in the mixing factory according to a special prescription. Next, this mixture of raw materials has to ferment in composting tunnels. By fermenting, specific nutrients originate in the compost on which only mushrooms can grow. The indoor fresh compost indoor verse compost (IVC®) or phase-I compost, which is produced now, is treated further to spawnbable compost (phase II) and full-grown compost (phase III) in the tunnel companies.
